Sunlight dances across your eyelashes,
and I’m helpless. The (unmade) bed harbours your
dulcet moans.
Outside plum blossoms wilt,
and chorus birds wail. You’re
a dreamscape, a vibrant neon-hub of melody and
I’m saturated in desperation.
(& perspiration)
Tangled fingers and hair like
the savage depths of autumn.
